Interesting. Did you also see reduced power and stalling? How did you narrow it down to the air-fuel ratio? I'm guessing a defective injection valve affects the mixture.

Yep, experienced power loss and stalling. Turns out, a faulty injector was dumping too much fuel. Messed up the air-fuel ratio big time. A workshop visit is advisable.

Appreciate the insight. Confirmed: defective injector. Replaced it, all good now. Cost me 515€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds familiar. I've got a Corolla hybrid too. Had similar symptoms - engine light on and jerky acceleration. Have you checked your air-fuel ratio? A rich mixture can cause those problems.
