Corsa airbag warning light

Airbag warning light is on in my 2004 Vauxhall Corsa with a gasoline engine, mileage is 105626 km. I'm worried the entire SRS system has failed. Any ideas?

That SRS light is a serious matter! Has the car been in any minor accidents recently? Faulty cables or plugs are prime suspects. Also, have you checked the crash sensors? Sometimes those trigger false alarms.

Thanks for the suggestions! No accidents, fortunately. Where exactly are the crash sensors located in a Corsa? And how would I check the cables and plugs? Is it something I could diagnose myself?

Given it's a safety system, I strongly recommend against DIY diagnostics if you lack specific knowledge. Although a faulty cable could be the culprit, the consequences of a wrong move could be severe. Given the age of the vehicle, your money will be well spent at a workshop.

Understood. I appreciate the advice concerning workshop diagnostics. It was a defective plug connection and the final repair tallied 95€. Thank you very much for your assistance in resolving this issue!
