Corsa check engine light fuel sensor

My 2005 Vauxhall Corsa diesel is doing my head in! The check engine light keeps popping up, and sometimes it even stalls when I'm idling. Plugged it into a reader and it throws up an error related to the fuel level sensor. I'm not great with cars, but I checked the fuses. Anyone got any ideas before I end up selling it?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Check engine light and everything. Different engine, petrol though. Was it intermittent or is it happening constantly?

Intermittent, yeah. It's not all the time, which is what's making it so annoying! Some days it's fine, others it's like the car is possessed. Does that sound like what happened with your Megane? What fixed it?

Yep, pretty much exactly the same. Turned out to be a dodgy sensor. I'd say get it checked out at a garage. Could be a pain to diagnose yourself without the right tools.

Cheers, appreciate the advice! Turns out it was a defective fuel level sensor and it set me back 52€. All sorted now!
