Corsa Electric Gearbox Issues

Got a worry with my 2022 Vauxhall Corsa Electric. Almost 50k km on the clock. Lately, the gearbox has been acting up - feels like it's slipping and the shifts are really unclean. I'm no expert, but I checked the basics, and I'm starting to suspect something's up with the transfer case oil. Could it be a worn-out oil issue? Anyone had similar troubles?

I had a similar issue with my Corsa, although the symptoms were slightly different. Unclean shifts often indicate a problem within the transmission itself. Have you noticed any gear grinding sounds or any oil leakage around the transfer case? It might be worth checking the oil level and condition to rule out simple oil starvation or contamination.

Cheers for the quick response! No grinding sounds, thankfully, but I haven't specifically looked for oil leaks yet - will do that ASAP. When you say "condition" what exactly should I be looking for? And is there anything to consider when topping it up?

By "condition" I mean checking for any signs of mechanical wear, like metallic particles in the fluid, or a burnt smell. Given the symptoms and mileage, it's likely there's internal damage to the gears within the transfer case. I'd strongly recommend taking it to a qualified workshop. Delaying it could lead to more extensive and costly repairs.

Okay, that sounds pretty serious! I was hoping it was just a simple oil change fix. Definitely going to take it to the shop then – don't wanna risk making things worse. Thanks a lot for the advice! The estimate came to 330€ with the defective gears in the transfer case identified as the issue!
