Corsa Overvoltage Faults

I'm pulling my hair out! I've got a 2020 Vauxhall Corsa (electric) with only 22214 km on the clock. Recently, I've been getting all sorts of weirdness – error messages popping up like crazy. I ran a scan, and it's showing a ton of overvoltage faults causing systems to fail. The battery seems weak when starting (which is weird for an EV), and just general electrical mayhem. Could a heavily discharged or defective battery cause this? I'm worried about circuit protection and power surge issues frying the ECU or something! Anyone experienced similar?

Whoa, that sounds rough! I've got a Corsa too. I had something similar happen a while back. Kept getting random errors and the car felt… sluggish. Did you check the battery connections themselves? Maybe there's some corrosion or something causing a bad connection and messing with the voltage readings?

Thanks for the reply! I did check the battery connections, but everything seemed clean and tight. I'm not ruling out a bad connection somewhere else, though. When you had your issue, did the error codes specifically point to overvoltage, or were they more general electrical faults? And did you notice the battery feeling weak too?

Yeah, mine was a mix of general electrical faults, but thinking back, I think overvoltage came up once or twice. And yes, the battery definitely felt weaker than usual. Honestly, after messing with it for a bit, I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly and saved me a headache. Probably best to get it checked by a pro.

Okay, that's helpful to know. I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but it sounds like that's the best bet. Thanks for sharing your experience! I'll book it in and see what they say. For information, it was the battery, which was defective. The repair cost was 290€
