Thanks for the quick response! Actually, yes, it had a chip tuning done a while back. Why do you ask?

Ah, that may very well be the culprit! In my situation, the aftermarket chip tuning was causing the ECU to throw all sorts of codes and limit the engine's capabilities. It appears these modifications, whilst intending to improve performance, can sometimes create unforeseen issues. I would strongly advise that you consider visiting a reputable mechanic who specialises in automotive diagnostics. It might be beneficial to have the car's ECU thoroughly inspected to determine whether the chip tuning is indeed the root of the problem.

Thanks, that's really helpful! Took it to the workshop; faulty chip tuning was indeed the problem. Cost me 180€ to sort out. Appreciate the insight!

Greetings! I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with your Vauxhall Corsa. This sounds quite familiar, actually. I had very similar symptoms with my old BMW a while back. The check engine light illuminated, accompanied by a noticeable decrease in performance. Did you, by any chance, have any third-party modifications done to the ECU?
