Corsa Rough Running Jerking

I haven't inspected the spark plugs directly. Was the problem definitively traced back to the ignition coil, or were there other factors involved? Also, what was the approximate cost of the repair?

In my case, it turned out to be a dodgy coil pack. I ended up just taking it to a local garage who sorted it out for me in a couple of hours. I wouldn't want to tell you to go and buy a new coil pack and fit it in case that doesn't fix your problem. The engine warning light is a pain and could mean lots of different things. Best bet is to get it to a local mechanic, plug it into the diagnostic machine, and see what fault codes come up. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I had the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic. The defective ignition coil was identified as the source of the problem, and the cable connection to the coil was compromised. The repair, including parts and labor, amounted to 95€. The vehicle is now operating normally.

I had something similar happen with my Corsa, although it was a while back. The check engine light was definitely on, and the engine was running really rough, almost like it was going to stall. Did you check the spark plugs as well? When mine went, it was also giving me some weird acceleration issues, like a hesitation or jerking when I put my foot down. It could be other things, but the symptoms sound really similar to what I experienced.
