CR V Central Locking and Starting Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Honda CR-V diesel is experiencing issues with central locking and intermittent starting problems, with an error related to the bumper antenna. The problem may be linked to the antenna system, potentially affecting the car's electronic functions. A suggested solution is to have the antenna system inspected and possibly replaced, as faulty connections or components could be the cause. Booking a professional inspection is recommended to resolve the issue.

Just the central locking and the starting issue, nothing else seems affected. Did you manage to fix yours? What exactly was the problem? Was it the antenna mount?

The issue was indeed with the antenna system. I recommend taking it to a workshop for inspection as the cable or plug connection may be defective. I had to do the same.

I appreciate the advice! I'll book it in for a proper look. They've quoted me around 95€ for the repair, which sounds reasonable. Hopefully, that'll sort it out.

I had a similar issue on my CR-V. The symptoms you described are very close to what I experienced. Is the car showing any other electrical issues or only the central locking?
