CR V Water Sensor Error

My 2010 Honda CR-V diesel has a persistent malfunction indicator lamp. The error memory stores a code related to the water sensor, and the engine runs rough. I checked the cabling and plug connections, but they look fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my CR-V not too long ago. That check engine light drove me nuts! Were there any other codes along with the water sensor thing?

Just the one code related to the water sensor, nothing else. Did you ever figure out what was causing it?

Yep, pretty much the same symptoms. I messed about with it for ages, tracing wires and cleaning connections, but in the end, I caved and took it to the garage. They sorted it quickly. Best bet is to get it booked in.

Workshop visit it is, then. A defective cable was the problem. 95€ later, and she's running smoothly. Thanks for the advice!
