CR Z Audio System Failure

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with the audio in my 2011 Honda CR-Z hybrid. The whole audio system is dead – no sound at all from the radio, Bluetooth, or even when I plug my phone into the auxiliary input. I've checked the fuses and even tried messing with the volume control, but nothing seems to work. I suspect it might be a defective bass speaker, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. The sound system just quit. Did you notice any sound distortion before it went completely silent?

I didn't notice any distortion specifically, but now that you mention it, the bass did seem a little weaker than usual the last time I used it. What was the issue with your Megane?

On my Megane, it turned out that the speaker amp shorted and took out the whole system. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a reputable workshop to rule out any serious issues.

Thanks for the insight! Based on that, I booked an appointment with a local shop. Turns out the bass speaker was defective and caused a short. Repair came to 280€. Appreciate the help!
