CR Z Seat Heater Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Honda CR-Z owner experienced a failure in the driver's side seat heater, which stopped warming up. An error code indicated an issue with the seat heater circuit. Initial troubleshooting suggested checking the fuse, which was fine, leading to the possibility of a faulty thermal sensor or defective heating mat. After consulting a workshop, it was confirmed that the seat heating mat was defective, requiring replacement.

Thanks for the tip! I did check the fuse, and it seems fine. Where exactly is the thermal sensor located, and is it something I can test myself without special tools?

On my Volvo, the thermal sensor was integrated into the heating mat inside the seat cushion. So, to get to it, you basically had to take the seat apart. Unless you're comfortable with automotive repair and have some experience with upholstery, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. It could be the heating mat itself is defective, which was the case with mine. Get a quote before they start ripping things apart, though.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice. I took it to the shop, and they confirmed it's a defective seat heating mat. The repair will be around 390€ including labor. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. Had a similar issue on my old Volvo V70. Seat heater quit, but no error code. Did you check the fuse? It's always the first thing to check with electrical problems. It could also be a faulty thermal sensor, but I am just guessing.
