Crew Power Window Failure

I had similar symptoms with my old Opel Astra, although the cause was different. Did you check the window track for any obstructions? Is the motor even trying to engage, or is there just silence?

I haven't checked the window track yet. The motor is silent. Does this information help diagnose the problem further?

Silence from the motor definitely points away from just a track issue. While it could still be something else, a defective switch becomes much more likely. I would recommend getting it checked out at a workshop; they should be able to confirm it.

Thank you for the advice. I followed your suggestion and took it to a workshop. The window regulator was indeed defective. The repair cost was 200€. Appreciate your help!
