Yeah, actually, now that you mention it, there is a slight surge sometimes, almost like it's hesitating. What was the cause in your case? Was it the torque converter itself?

Yes, the torque converter was the problem. It's best to get it checked at a transmission specialist. My failure was sudden and left me stranded, a very expensive situation.

I appreciate the heads-up. I took it to the shop and they confirmed it – torque converter is failing. They quoted me 2120€ for the repair. Ouch! But at least I know what's wrong now.
