Croma diesel fuel filter heater issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Fiat Croma diesel is experiencing reduced engine power, poor response, increased fuel consumption, and uneven idling, particularly during cold starts. The issue is suspected to be related to the fuel filter heater, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. A similar problem was resolved by fixing a bad connection to the fuel filter heater at a workshop.

Yes! The symptoms are most pronounced during cold starts. Could you tell me more about your experience? Was it similar, and what did you do to fix it?

Yeah, cold starts were the worst. Power loss and engine stalling sometimes. I didn't mess with it myself. Took it straight to the workshop. Turned out to be a bad connection to the fuel filter heater. They sorted it quickly.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I'll take it to a shop. The repair should be about 95€. I appreciate your help!

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Croma. Was it especially noticeable when the engine was cold?
