Cronos radio reception failure
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Fiat Cronos owner is experiencing complete radio reception failure, with error messages and random audio cutouts. The issue is suspected to be related to a faulty antenna, possibly involving the antenna ground or booster. A suggestion was made to check the antenna ground for corrosion, but ultimately, it was advised to have the vehicle inspected professionally to resolve the problem.

Yeah, the static is awful! Where exactly is the antenna ground located? And was the poor signal affecting anything else, or just the radio?

It was just the radio signal for me. The ground is near the antenna base itself, under the shark fin. Honestly, given the error messages and the complete dropouts, I'd say save yourself the headache and get it checked out, it might be some issue with the antenna booster.

Alright, thanks for the heads-up! I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to the workshop.

I had similar issues with my Cronos. Is the static noise unbearable? I'd check the antenna ground first, had issues in the past with a corroded connection that caused major radio interference.
