Cronos Start Stop Problems

Hey, I'm having issues with the start-stop system on my 2022 Fiat Cronos with a gasoline engine. It's storing a fault, the engine sometimes shuts off while driving, and the warning light comes on. I'm at 220428 km. Could it be a bad battery? It's awful in Eco mode when the restart fails and the engine stalls. Anyone seen this?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my old Renault Megane. Start-stop went bonkers. Check your car battery first; these systems are sensitive to voltage drops. Could also be the starter motor.

Yeah, low voltage can mess with the start-stop and the starter motor. The system needs enough juice to restart the engine quickly. With the Megane, it was a bad battery. Get it checked at a workshop; they'll diagnose it properly.
