Crossland X Fuel Level Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2018 Vauxhall Crossland X diesel. It's got about 107k km on it. The check engine light keeps coming on, and the engine occasionally stalls when I'm idling. I plugged in an OBD reader and it showed an error stored related to the fuel level sensor. I had a quick look to see if there was an obvious fuse linked to the fuel system but I couldn't easily find one. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

I had a similar issue with my Crossland X – not sure what year it is though. Same symptoms: check engine light and stalling. Turned out to be a faulty fuel level sensor. I'd check that sensor and its wiring before diving too deep.

Thanks for the info! Was it difficult to diagnose? Did you replace the sensor yourself, or did you take it to a garage?

I didn't diagnose it myself, a local garage did. They confirmed it was the fuel level sensor and replaced it. Apparently, it's a common problem. I'd recommend getting it checked by a professional, especially with those symptoms. It could save you a lot of hassle.

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it! I took it to a garage, and you were spot on. It was the fuel level sensor. They replaced it, and the light is off and it idles perfectly now. Cost me 52€ all in.
