Crossland X Turbo Actuator Fault

The issue definitely seems more pronounced under heavier load, like going uphill or accelerating onto the highway. Regarding error codes, I did a scan and it's pointing towards a boost pressure actuator malfunction, specifically a P0299 code, which is why I'm focusing on the turbo actuator. Is that the same code you received? Were there any other error codes, potentially pointing to issues with a pressure sensor?

Yep, P0299 rings a bell! Honestly, after digging around for ages I couldn't find a cheap fix and I ended up taking it to the local garage. They confirmed the actuator was shot. Best bet is to get it checked out by a professional; messing with turbochargers can get very expensive, very quickly.

Thanks a lot for confirming. I think I'll take your advice and get it to a workshop. I received a quote for around 250€ including parts and labor. Fingers crossed that will solve the issue!

That sounds awfully familiar. I had almost the exact same symptoms on my Crossland X – the whistling, hissing, power loss. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. Did you notice if it was worse at certain speeds or under specific load conditions? Also, have you tried scanning the car for any specific error codes related to the turbo or boost pressure?
