CrosslandX electronic parking brake fault
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Vauxhall CrosslandX diesel developed an electronic parking brake fault, with the handbrake non-functional, an error stored, and the warning light on. The suspected cause was a defective electric motor in the brake calliper. After professional diagnosis, it was confirmed that the electric motor in the brake calliper was indeed defective, leading to a repair.

Thanks for the input. Which brake sensor do you mean specifically? I checked the obvious ones, but perhaps I missed something.

In my case, it was difficult to say, honestly. I'm not sure whether you can check it on your own. The Volvo was showing similar symptoms and I ended up at the workshop. Unfortunately, in my experience with these types of issues, it's often best to get a professional diagnosis.

Interesting. I had a similar electronic parking brake issue on my Volvo a while back. Symptoms were almost identical. Did you check the brake switch and sensor?
