CrosslandX Engine Running Lean

Hi, my 2021 Vauxhall CrosslandX with a gasoline engine is giving me some grief. It's done 141943 km. The check engine light is on, and it feels like it's running lean – reduced power, rough running, and jerking when I accelerate. Anyone had similar? I was thinking maybe spark plugs or the mass air flow sensor?

Oh, that sounds frustrating! I've got a CrosslandX too, and experienced something similar not long ago. The check engine light was on, and it felt like the engine was holding back, especially going uphill. Did you notice any difference in fuel consumption, or any weird smells coming from the exhaust?

Yeah, fuel consumption seems a bit worse than usual, now that you mention it. No weird smells though. What was the culprit in your case?

Well, I was hoping for an easy fix like a dirty air filter, but no such luck. After checking the intake manifold, and I still had the issue, I took it to a workshop. Turns out it was a defective fuel injector. Cost me around 500€ to get sorted. Given your symptoms, I strongly recommend you check your injection valves/injectors or just get a professional to do it. I know, it's a pain!

Thanks for the advice! Fuel injectors sound plausible. I'll take it to a workshop to get it checked out. Turns out you were right! It was a faulty fuel injector. Cost 515€ including labor. Runs like new now!
