CrosslandX power windows failure
Summary of the thread
The power windows on a 2022 Vauxhall CrosslandX stopped working entirely, with no response from any door switches. An OBD reader indicated an error related to the window regulator. Initial troubleshooting suggested checking the fuses, which were fine, leading to the suspicion of a faulty power window switch. A mechanic confirmed the switch was defective, replaced it, and resolved the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses, and they seem to be fine. You mentioned a faulty power window switch. Is there a way to test that, or is it something I'd need to take to a mechanic for? What did you do with your car?

Well, without proper diagnostic tools, testing the switch itself can be tricky. You could try swapping it with one from another door, but that's not always feasible. In my case, it turned out to be the switch. I took it to a workshop, they confirmed it with their equipment and replaced it. Honestly, to save time and avoid potential electrical issues, I'd recommend getting it checked by a professional.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took your advice and brought it to a local mechanic. They confirmed it was indeed the power window switch that was defective. They replaced it, and now everything's working fine again. The whole thing cost me around 200€.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old Peugeot 308. All the windows just died at once. Did you check the fuses? It could be a blown fuse affecting the entire window circuit. If it's not that simple, it might be a faulty power window switch. Those things can go bad over time.
