Crossroad Insufficient Heating
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Honda Crossroad is experiencing insufficient heating, potentially due to a defective water valve or a connection issue. The engine temperature gauge reads normal, ruling out a thermostat problem. A similar case confirmed the water valve as the main issue, suggesting professional diagnosis and repair. The workshop confirmed the water valve defect, resolving the heating problem.

The engine temperature gauge seems normal. Could you tell me more about your experience? Was the water valve the main thing, or were other things involved?

Yeah, the water valve was the main problem for me. It wasn't opening fully. Honestly, without the right tools, you might be wasting your time trying to diagnose it yourself. I'd get it checked by a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. I'm getting it checked at a workshop, and the water valve seems like the likely culprit. The shop confirmed it was a defective water valve. Total cost was 95€ for parts and labor.

I also have a Honda Crossroad and had similar heating issues. Is the engine temperature gauge reading normal? A faulty thermostat could cause this too.
