Crossroad Overheating and Extended Warm Up

I'm having overheating issues with my 2007 Honda Crossroad with a gasoline engine. It's got 221549 km on it. It takes ages to warm up. I'm thinking it might be the thermostat cooling circuit motor. Anyone else had this?

Summary of the thread

The conversation revolves around a 2007 Honda Crossroad experiencing overheating issues and extended warm-up times. The initial suspicion is a faulty thermostat cooling circuit motor. Another participant suggests that a faulty map thermostat is a likely cause, especially given the symptoms of prolonged warm-up time and the cooling fan running excessively. It is recommended to have the thermostat checked and possibly replaced at a workshop to resolve the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds familiar, I've got a Crossroad too. A faulty map thermostat could be it. Have you checked for coolant leaks around the housing? Is the cooling fan running constantly?

No coolant leaks around the housing. The cooling fan does seem to be on more than usual. Could a faulty temperature sensor cause this, or is the map thermostat more likely?

A temp sensor is possible, but from what you're saying, the map thermostat is the more likely culprit. The long warm-up time points to that. I'd get it checked by a workshop. Could save you some trouble.

Thanks, I'll get the thermostat cooling circuit motor checked and replaced at a workshop. Appreciate the help.
