Crossroad rail pressure sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Honda Crossroad is experiencing issues with stalling at idle, reduced power, and a check engine light, with a diagnostic code indicating a 'rail pressure sensor signal faulty.' The problem is suspected to be a faulty fuel pressure sensor, which can cause such symptoms. It is suggested to check the wiring for damage or loose connections, but ultimately, replacing the sensor is recommended. After replacing the sensor, the issues appear to be resolved.

Mileage is 223357 km. It's mostly stumbling, but occasionally dies completely. Haven't checked the wiring yet, where exactly should I be looking?

Okay, that mileage is getting up there, so yeah, sensor failure is pretty likely. As for the wiring, trace it back from the sensor itself. Look for any obvious damage to the wires – cracks, frays, or places where the insulation is worn through. Also, give the connector a good wiggle while the engine's running if you can get it to run, see if that makes a difference. But honestly, with those symptoms and the code, you're probably looking at replacing the sensor. It's doable yourself, but might be worth getting a workshop to take a look.

Thanks for the input. Replaced the pressure sensor and it seems to have fixed it. Cost me 240€ parts and labor.

Sounds like a bad fuel pressure sensor alright! Those things can cause all sorts of problems. Is it completely dying, or just stumbling? Have you checked the wiring to the sensor? Sometimes a loose or corroded connector can cause a similar issue. Also, what's the mileage? Might give us a better idea if it's just wear and tear.
