Crossroad Sunroof Initialization Error

I've got a 2007 Honda Crossroad with a gasoline engine and I'm hitting a wall with the sunroof. Mileage is at 247757 km. I keep getting a 'sunroof not initialized' error. The sunblind gets stuck, and now the whole convertible top won't budge! It's like it's completely locked. The sunblind also refuses to retract or extend properly. Could it be from some coding that was done on the car recently? Has anyone seen this before?

Summary of the thread

A 2007 Honda Crossroad owner experienced a 'sunroof not initialized' error, causing the sunroof and sunblind to become unresponsive. The issue was suspected to be related to recent coding changes. A similar case was resolved by resetting the sunroof system at a workshop, which successfully restored functionality.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I also have a Crossroad and had a similar problem a while ago. Does your sunroof system just refuse to respond at all?

Yeah, that's exactly it! It's completely unresponsive. How did you manage to fix it? Was it a complicated job?

Sounds like the same issue I had. In my case, it was a coding issue that messed up the sunroof control. Honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They'll be able to properly reset the system. Could save you a lot of headaches.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! Turns out you were spot on. Took it to a local shop, they reset the sunroof system for 75€. Everything's working perfectly now. Appreciate the help!
