Crown Victoria cruise control issue

My 2004 Ford Crown Victoria with a gasoline engine has a cruise control problem. The cruise control doesn't work, and I'm getting an error message on the speedometer. Also, there's an error stored in the car's memory. What could it be?

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra, though the error codes were different. It turned out to be a faulty connection in the wiring harness that was messing with the cruise control module. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the cruise control actuator?

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the cruise control actuator located? I'm not super familiar with car electronics.

On my Astra, it was near the throttle body, but I'm not sure about the Crown Vic. Best to consult a repair manual or a mechanic to pinpoint it. Given the error message and stored code, a defective connection is very likely. I suggest you take your car to the workshop.

Alright, thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right, it was a defective cable connection to the cruise control actuator. Cost me 95€ to fix. Appreciate the help!
