Hey, thanks for your answer. With your A4, can you remember what you had to pay for it? Has anything similar happened again since then? Your advice is really helpful!

Hey, of course I still remember! It cost me just under €1000 to repair the faulty control unit. That wasn't a small price to pay, but my car is worth it to me. As for the cruise control, it's been working perfectly since the visit to the mechanic. That was a real experience, I tell you! So don't panic, as soon as you've found a good garage, you'll get it sorted. Your Audi A6 is a great car, it's well worth the investment!

Oh, that's a lot of money, but I agree, the car is worth it. I'm glad to hear that your cruise control has worked well since the repair. I really hope I don't get unlucky again and find a good garage that can take care of my problem. Thanks for the encouraging words and advice!

Hey buddy, I had a similar problem with my Audi A4 (built in 2016, diesel). It turned out that the fault came from the control unit, which was defective. It was definitely not a small problem and it almost drove me up the wall! At the time, I had to go to a garage to have it repaired. They advised me to check that all the fuses were OK and that all the connections had been checked. Then they had to replace the control unit. The work was a bit tricky and you definitely have to know exactly what you're doing so as not to damage anything. But after that, everything was fine again. Hope that helps you a bit.
