Cruze Intake Hose Leak
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Chevrolet Cruze owner reported high fuel consumption, a check engine light, and a hissing sound from the engine, suspecting an air intake leak, possibly from a hose. Another individual suggested checking the hose connecting to the intake manifold, which was the issue in their similar experience. The problem was confirmed to be the intake hose, and it was resolved with a repair costing approximately 100€.

Thanks! Could you tell me exactly where that hose is and what symptoms you had? Also, were there any error codes?

It was the one right after the air filter box. I had the hissing sound too, and the engine light was on. Honestly, just take it to a shop. They'll find it quick.

I had something similar with my Cruze. Check the hose that connects to the intake manifold. That was the culprit for me.
