CRV handsfree microphone problem
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Honda CR-V has a hands-free microphone issue, rendering telephony non-functional and storing an error. The suspected cause is a defective infotainment system. A similar problem in another vehicle required professional diagnosis, confirming a faulty module. The suggested solution is to have the system checked by a workshop, which was confirmed necessary in this case.

Thanks for the quick reply. No revisions available according to the system. Was your BMW showing the same symptoms?

Precisely the same. Speech recognition was completely non-functional in the end. I'm afraid it eventually required a trip to the workshop; they confirmed a faulty module. It might be worth getting yours checked professionally; it could save you a lot of guesswork.

Ah, that's a pain! I had a similar issue with my older BMW 3 Series. Voice recognition went haywire, wireless connection kept dropping, and volume control was erratic. Did you check for any software revisions for the infotainment system? Sometimes that can resolve weird glitches like this.
