CRV knock sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Honda CR-V is experiencing a check engine light, higher fuel consumption, and uneven idling, with a scanner indicating a knock sensor issue. The initial inspection of the wiring showed no obvious problems, but a loose connection or corrosion at the plug is suspected. It is suggested to closely inspect the plug for corrosion and consider having a shop check the connection with a multimeter to avoid unnecessary part replacements.

Yeah, I took a quick look, but didn't really focus on corrosion. Was it obvious when you found it, or did you have to look closely?

Had to look real close. I'd suggest taking it to a shop to have them check the connection with a multimeter. Turned out to be cheaper than replacing parts blindly.

Thanks, I'll check the plug more closely for corrosion, but it sounds like a trip to the shop is in order. They quoted me 95€ for the repair, defective cable or plug connection, so I'll get that sorted. Appreciate the advice!

I had similar issues with my CR-V. Same warning light, rough idle and mileage went to pot. Have you checked the plug going into the sensor? It might look fine, but the pins can corrode.
