Thanks for the reply. No, I haven't checked the intake manifold or turbocharger yet. I also don't know where to start with the diagnostic steps. What should I check first?

Given the circumstances, and considering the potential complexities of the hybrid system, I would advise against attempting extensive repairs without proper diagnostic tools and expertise. While inspecting the cable and plug connection of the boost sensor is a reasonable first step, it may not reveal the root cause of the problem. Therefore, my recommendation would be to consult a qualified automotive technician or a reputable workshop with experience in hybrid vehicles. They will be able to perform a thorough diagnosis, pinpoint the exact source of the issue, and provide an accurate estimate for the necessary repairs.

Thanks, that's probably the best course of action. I took it to the shop, and you were right – it was a defective cable/plug connection of the boost pressure sensor. The repair cost me 95€. Everything is back to normal now!

I understand you're experiencing issues with your Lexus CT200h. I own one as well and I recall a similar issue cropping up some time ago. The symptoms you describe, particularly the jerking during acceleration, the unusual whistling/hissing sounds, and the check engine light, do point towards a potential problem within the air intake system. Have you had a look at the intake manifold or the turbocharger, if applicable to your model? A boost leak could certainly explain the reduced engine power and increased fuel consumption. However, it would be prudent to ascertain whether the boost sensor is indeed faulty before proceeding with any replacements. Could you perhaps elaborate on any diagnostic steps you've undertaken thus far?
