CT200h Manifold Pressure Sensor Issue

Has anyone experienced issues with their 2015 CT200h hybrid? My check engine light is on, engine power is reduced, response is poor, and fuel consumption is higher than usual with about 240748 km. I suspect a faulty manifold pressure sensor, possibly due to a large vacuum leakage.

Hello, I have a CT200h as well, and your symptoms sound very familiar. I had similar issues not too long ago. If I remember well, the manifold pressure sensor, also known as the MAP sensor, provides data about the intake manifold air pressure to the ECU, which is vital for correct engine operation. Was the error code related to the sensor?

Yes, the error code pointed directly to the manifold pressure sensor. Did replacing the sensor resolve your issues permanently? Also, did you notice any other symptoms besides the ones I mentioned?

Yes, replacing the manifold pressure sensor fixed the problem completely. And yes, the symptoms were almost identical. I recommend that you visit a workshop to check the vacuum lines for potential leaks. It's advisable to replace the sensor with an OEM part to ensure compatibility and longevity.

I had the manifold pressure sensor replaced at a local workshop, and the total repair cost was 235€. The symptoms have disappeared, and the car is running smoothly again!
