CT200h Mirror Heating Issue

Hi, I'm having an issue with my 2020 Lexus CT200h hybrid. The mirror heating isn't working. Both side mirrors stay icy, which isn't ideal for winter driving. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. The error memory shows a fault related to the mirror heating circuit. Anyone experienced this?

I had a similar problem with my 2018 Opel Insignia. The symptoms sound identical! My mechanic suspected a faulty heater element in the mirror itself, or a break in the wiring. Did the error code specify which mirror, or is it a general fault?

Thanks for the quick response! The error code doesn't specify a particular mirror, it just says something generic about "mirror heating circuit malfunction". Could it really be a broken wire? It seems odd that both would go at the same time.

It is unusual for both to fail simultaneously, but a shared connection or a common wiring loom could be the culprit. I'd advise you to have a workshop check the cable and plug connections. In my case, I also went to the shop in the end and they fixed the electrical fault.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I'll book it in with a local garage. The mechanic suspects a defective cable or plug connection, and the repair should cost around 95€. Hopefully, that fixes it!
