Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the water pump specifically. How would I go about checking that? Is it something I can easily do myself?

Checking the water pump can be a bit tricky without the right tools. But, if the thermostat is faulty, it might be affecting the cooling circuit motor. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a mechanic. I ended up taking mine in, and it turned out to be a defective map thermostat. It cost me around 350€ to get it fixed.

Thanks a lot! I'll take it to a workshop and mention the thermostat and water pump. Hopefully, it's a similar fix. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my CT200h. Overheating and slow warm-up times often point to a thermostat problem. Have you checked if your water pump is working correctly? A failing water pump can also cause overheating.
