CT200h Overheating Slow Warm Up

Having trouble with my 2015 Lexus CT200h hybrid. It's got 231216 km on it. Recently, I've noticed the engine overheating and taking ages to warm up. Any ideas what could be causing this? I checked the coolant level, and it seems fine.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my CT200h. Overheating and slow warm-up times often point to a thermostat problem. Have you checked if your water pump is working correctly? A failing water pump can also cause overheating.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the water pump specifically. How would I go about checking that? Is it something I can easily do myself?

Checking the water pump can be a bit tricky without the right tools. But, if the thermostat is faulty, it might be affecting the cooling circuit motor. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a mechanic. I ended up taking mine in, and it turned out to be a defective map thermostat. It cost me around 350€ to get it fixed.

Thanks a lot! I'll take it to a workshop and mention the thermostat and water pump. Hopefully, it's a similar fix. Appreciate the help!
