CT200h Stalling After Fuel Filter Change

I'm having trouble with my 2020 Lexus CT200h hybrid, 171967 km. The check engine light is on, and the engine occasionally stalls at idle. Acceleration feels weak. I suspect a fuel issue since it started after I changed the fuel filter myself. Could it be the fuel pressure regulator? Has anyone else experienced similar issues after a fuel filter change? What should I check first?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had almost the same thing happen with my CT200h. Check engine light, stalling... the works. Did you maybe mess something up with the fuel pressure sensor when you were swapping the filter? Could that be it? Did you check that the fuel pump works properly?

Thanks for the quick response! The fuel pressure sensor... that's a good point. I was pretty careful, but maybe I bumped something. How did you pinpoint the sensor as the problem? Did fuel efficiency suffer as well, or was it just the stalling and the check engine light?

Yeah, fuel efficiency was definitely down the drain! The workshop guys figured it out pretty quickly when they hooked it up to the diagnostic tool. Honestly, save yourself the hassle and just take it to a professional. They'll diagnose it properly and get it sorted fast. It's probably a small thing, but messing with fuel systems can be risky.

Thanks a lot for the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on – it was the fuel pressure regulator. Apparently, there was an error entry after the fuel filter change. They replaced it, cleared the code, and it's running like a charm now. Total cost: 45€.
