Cube Crankshaft Sensor Issue

I'm having an issue with my 2020 Nissan Cube diesel. It has about 58481 kilometers on it. The check engine light came on, and the engine has less power, poor response, and higher fuel consumption. I think there's a problem with the crankshaft to camshaft reference value. Could a bad crankshaft sensor cause these symptoms?

Crankshaft to camshaft reference value issue on a Cube, huh? The engine light, power loss, laggy response, and increased fuel consumption all point to timing being off. Is it possible the crank sensor is feeding the ECU incorrect data? Has the car been running rough? What codes are you pulling when you scan it?

It's not consistently rough, but there are times of uneven idling. Would providing the error codes help pinpoint if the crank sensor is the problem?

Uneven idling and intermittent roughness definitely add weight to the crankshaft sensor suspicion. Error codes can tell you a lot. It does sound like you need to take it to a workshop. Be prepared for around 340€ if it is that sensor. Is there anything else contributing to the issue I've missed? Take it as soon as possible though, running the engine like this could cause more problems!

I appreciate the advice. A visit to a qualified workshop is necessary, and I'll share the error codes. After visiting, the crankshaft position sensor was replaced for 340€!
