Cube exhaust temperature sensor issue

Hey, I've got a 2011 Nissan Cube with a gasoline engine and it's throwing some codes. Check engine light is on, I've noticed a drop in power plus my fuel consumption seems higher. I've got 72935 km on the clock. Could it be a faulty exhaust temperature sensor? Or perhaps a leak in the exhaust system?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Cube. Are you noticing any temperature fluctuations or odd smells coming from the exhaust? Could be a cracked exhaust component.

Interesting. Temperature fluctuations, possibly, but hard to say for sure. No weird smells though. Was it definitely the exhaust sensor for you? And how did you diagnose it?

It was! If the symptoms are the same, it might be. I’d suggest getting it checked out at a workshop. Could save you some headaches, and maybe a hole in your exhaust system.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a faulty exhaust temperature sensor, likely caused by a small leak. Repair cost me 265€. All sorted now!
