Cylinder Pressure Fluctuation
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Vauxhall Crossland X diesel experienced cylinder pressure fluctuation, increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, and an illuminated check engine light at 195,642 km. Diagnostics indicated a consequential error, leading to suspicions about the turbocharger. However, it was later discovered that the issue was a diagnostic system glitch, and no repairs were needed. A visit to a workshop was recommended for accurate assessment and resolution.

Fuel consumption is alarming, and I've noticed a slight whistling sound, so I suspect the turbocharger. Could you elaborate on your experience? Any insights regarding the turbocharger or related components would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, it was the turbocharger. Honestly, I wouldn't spend too much time troubleshooting it yourself. Take it to a workshop. They will sort it out quickly. You could keep messing around with it for days!

I appreciate your input and sharing your experience. A visit to a trusted workshop is the most prudent course of action. Turns out the diagnostic error was a glitch in the system which caused the cylinder pressure fluctuation. No repair necessary!

Hey, I had something similar with my Crossland X. Was your consumption really terrible? Did you notice anything with the turbocharger?
