Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! That's really helpful. I'm planning to take mine to the dealer then, since it sounds similar to what you went through. Just curious, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the whole repair? And has everything been working smoothly since then? I want to budget properly for this and make sure it's a one-and-done fix for my Cayenne.

Hey again! Happy to give you an update! Yes, after getting it fixed at the dealer, everything has been working perfectly fine with my Panamera's emergency call system. The total bill came to 305€, it turned out the speaker was broken and needed replacement. Way less complicated than I initially feared! I know I was lucky compared to some other cases I've heard about where the entire communication module needed replacing. Since getting it fixed last summer, I haven't had a single issue with the system, all lights and functions are working as they should. You're definitely making the right call going to the dealer. Even though independent shops might be cheaper, this kind of specialized system really needs proper Porsche diagnostic tools and expertise. Better to get it done right the first time! Hope you get yours sorted without too much hassle. Let us know how it goes!

Thanks everyone! Just wanted to update you on what happened with my Cayenne. Finally got it checked at the Porsche dealer yesterday. Turns out it was actually a blown fuse and a loose connection in the emergency call module, much simpler than I expected! The whole thing cost me around 180€, which was a huge relief compared to what I was worried about paying. The mechanic was super professional and fixed it in about two hours. They even showed me exactly what was wrong and explained how the system works. The emergency call system is now working perfectly, all lights are on and the test call went through without any issues. Really glad I took your advice about going to the dealer instead of trying my luck with independent shops. Sometimes paying a bit more for expertise is worth it. Thanks again for helping me avoid potentially bigger headaches! Time to enjoy my fully functional Cayenne again!

Hey there! I actually dealt with a similar issue on my 2018 Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid last summer. The emergency call system failed completely, just like yours. When I took it to the dealership, they found it was related to a faulty communication module that also affected the speaker system. They had to replace the entire module and reprogram it to sync with the car's systems. In my case, it wasn't just a simple fix, they needed to order specific parts and the car was in the shop for about three days. It's definitely something you want to get checked out since it's a safety feature. I'd strongly recommend going to a certified Porsche dealer for this kind of work, especially with a hybrid system. The independent shop I tried first couldn't even properly diagnose the issue. My regular mechanic, who's great with standard repairs, straight up told me this was beyond his expertise and referred me to the dealer. This kind of electrical/communication system issue really needs someone with proper Porsche diagnostic tools and training.
