Difficulties with the battery and loss of power in a 2020 Citroen SpaceTourer: experience and suggested solutions wanted

Hi guys! I'm a bit worried about my 2020 Citroen SpaceTourer with an electric engine. It has only done 29092 KM and is already showing some problems. I'm having trouble with the HV system and the battery also seems to be quite weak, especially when starting. I'm also experiencing power loss from the engine and some general electronics issues. I suspect it could be the high voltage system. Have any of you ever had similar experiences and can tell me how your mechanic fixed it? After my last visit to the mechanic, I have unfortunately become a little suspicious. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!

Hello, I was faced with a similar situation with my 2017 Citroen C-Zero. It is indeed a serious problem when defects occur in the high-voltage system. The main problems for me at the time were also loss of power and problems with starting. The mechanics at my main garage carried out an extensive diagnosis and found that several parts in the high-voltage system were defective, including the voltage converter and the battery itself. The parts had to be replaced to restore the smooth functioning of the vehicle. As bad as it may sound, there are few alternatives when the high-voltage system shows the problems mentioned. It helped me a lot to have this work done by experienced electric car mechanics. Since then, my car has had no more problems and runs perfectly. Hopefully this will help you and you will soon find a solution to your problem!

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. It really seems like I need to tackle the problem with the high voltage system. I'm glad to hear that your C-Zero is running smoothly again! Could you remember how much the repair cost you? Have you noticed any new problems since then? Would really help me to know a bit more before I go back to the mechanic. Many thanks in advance!

Well, to be honest, I was really lucky with my repair. A fault in the high-voltage system sounds like a lot of trouble at first, doesn't it? Well, in my case, the problem was solved after I took my C-Zero to the garage. The good news is that the repair of the defect in individual parts of the high-voltage system didn't cost me a cent, i.e. exactly €0. Sounds crazy, but that's what happened. And to answer the second part of your question, my car has been running perfectly since the visit to the mechanic! I haven't noticed any new problems since then, and the fault with the high-voltage system hasn't reappeared either. All in all, I've had quite a run of luck. I hope it goes just as smoothly for you! Let me know how it goes for you! Bye!

Hi, that's really encouraging to know! Sounds like I need an electric car specialist to fix the fault. You were really lucky with the repair costs, I hope it works out the same for me. Fingers crossed! I'm taking my SpaceTourer in for a service next week and hopefully I'll get the same result as you. I'll keep you posted on what happens. Thanks again for the support, it has helped me a lot! See you soon!
