Discussing Issues with 2019 Volvo XC60 Hybrid's AC and Cabin Solar Sensor

Hey folks, I'm having a weird issue with my 2019 Volvo XC60 Hybrid. The AC is blowing warm air and heating/cooling seems off. I suspect the solar sensor in the cabin is on the fritz. Have any of you dealt with something similar? Really curious to hear how your workshop fixed this and what your experience was like.

Hey there, I had a slightly similar experience with my 2017 Volvo V60. Just to clarify, I'm not a car pro but I know my way around (!). Turns out my issue was also in the wiring, specifically a defective wiring harness. Had to shell out about 155 Euro to put things right. Sounds like your issue might be in the same ballpark. What's your mileage and have you noticed any warning signs on your dash? That might help me offer a bit more insight.

Hey, Thanks for the reply! I appreciate your insight. The current mileage on my baby is around 35533 KM. Oddly enough, there's no warning signs popping up on the dash. Quite the puzzler, isn't it? Anyway, planning to take her in for a check-up soon, oh and ran the latest service just last month. Keeping my fingers crossed it won't be too pricey.

Hello again,! Strange that you're not seeing any warning signs on your dash! But don't worry, these babies can be full of surprises. Just a heads up from my experience, it could also be something as simple as a refrigerant leak. Sometimes these leaks are so slow that it doesn't trigger a warning on your dash. However, considering your mileage and recent servicing, it's odd that this issue occurred. Might be worth checking if something went awry during your last service? Don’t forget, whenever you take her in for a check-up, do mention the possibility of a slow refrigerant leak or a faulty wiring harness, like in my case, as possible reasons. Stay positive, we'll get through this! Keep me posted on how it goes.

Hey, You're totally bang on with your advice! The idea of a slow refrigerant leak or some mishap during the last service didn't even cross my mind. You've probably saved me a lot of head scratching at the workshop! Definitely going to mention these possible issues you mentioned. I'll update here about how it goes. Thanks for being a star! Sure makes the situation less of a downer.
