Doblo cold start issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Fiat Doblo diesel is experiencing poor engine performance during cold starts, with an error stored and increased fuel consumption. The suspected cause is a defective electric auxiliary heater, specifically the PTC heater. The suggested solution is to consult a professional workshop for repair, as this issue seems common and potentially costly to fix independently.

That's interesting! Did you find a solution or pinpoint the cause? I'm wondering if I can fix it myself or head to a workshop. Any details on your repair?

Unfortunately, I haven't fixed it myself yet. I'm not experienced enough to start fiddling with heating elements and temperature control, but I will visit the local car service. I just wanted to share that you are not alone. From what I’ve gathered, it's probably the PTC heater. I think you should visit a workshop.

Thanks for sharing! Based on your feedback and research, I think I'll take it to a professional. I've heard a defective electric auxiliary heater is a common issue, and I've been quoted around 350€. Still better than freezing this winter.

Hey! I also own a Doblo, and while I haven't checked the error memory, your symptoms sound familiar. I have a problem with the engine on cold days, and fuel consumption has increased. It might be related to that PTC heater, but I'm no expert.
