Doblo Terminal 30 Error
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Fiat Doblo diesel was experiencing a 'Terminal 30 continuous plus interrupted' error and poor starting, with a heavily discharged battery. The issue was suspected to be related to the battery or possibly an aftermarket radio installation. After checking the wiring and consulting a workshop, it was determined that the battery was not holding charge, causing the error. Replacing the battery resolved the problem, and attention was advised on the radio to prevent future issues.

I had a quick look at the wiring harness, but nothing obvious. I do have an aftermarket radio installed 4 years ago, so maybe that is it. How could that affect the Terminal 30 error, though?

Aftermarket radios can cause issues if they're not wired up perfectly, or if they're drawing power even when the car is off. 'Terminal 30' is basically your constant +12V power supply. If the radio is draining the battery, the voltage can drop, triggering that error. You've checked the obvious, maybe get the electrics checked out properly at a workshop.

I took your advice and brought it to a workshop. Turns out the battery was knackered and not holding charge, causing the low voltage and Terminal 30 error. Cost me 290€ for a new battery and fitting, but at least it's sorted. I'll keep an eye on that radio too!

Sounds like a pain. A discharged battery is definitely a prime suspect. Have you checked the wiring harness for damage or corrosion? Could be something draining the battery while the car is off. Any aftermarket electronics installed, like an alarm or fancy stereo?
