Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I visually inspected the connector and wiring as far as I could trace it without dismantling half the car. I didn't see any obvious corrosion or damage. Is there a specific area of the harness that's prone to failure on yours or similar setups?

Indeed. While my BMW differed in layout, the vulnerability lies in the connector itself. Even without visible corrosion, micro-fractures or loosened pins within the connector can disrupt the signal. Given your symptoms, a professional diagnostic check is advisable. In my case, the faulty connector led to similar cascading failures. It's best to consult a workshop for pinpoint accuracy before replacing parts indiscriminately.

Understood. I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a shop for diagnostics. It seems like the most sensible path forward. Turns out it was the sensor cable harness, and the repair cost 95€. Thanks again.

Greetings. I had a similar issue with my 2017 BMW 3 Series. The symptoms you describe mirror my experience. Before condemning the sensor itself, have you checked the wiring harness and connector for corrosion or damage? It's akin to checking the foundation of a house before blaming the roof for leaks.
