DS4 Power Window Failure

Hi, I have a 2016 Citroen DS4 with a gasoline engine and I'm having trouble with the power windows. They just stopped working. Now the windows won't go up or down, and there is an error stored in the car's memory. Any ideas? Could it be the window motor?

Sounds like a faulty power window switch to me. I had similar symptoms with my old Opel Astra. The windows just wouldn't budge one day. Hopefully it's not the motor. Have you checked the fuses?

Thanks for the quick reply! I didn't check the fuses yet, where exactly are the fuses located? And how can I check them?

The fuses are usually in the fuse box, often located in the footwell or under the hood. Check your car's manual for the exact location. As for checking, you can visually inspect them to see if the wire inside is broken. But honestly, given the error message and the sudden failure, I'd bet on the switch. Maybe just take it to a workshop and have them diagnose it.

Alright, thank you. I took the car to the repair shop and you were right, it was the power window switch, and they replaced it. Cost me around 200€ including labor. Thanks for the help!
