DS5 engine overheating issue

Hi, I'm having an issue with my 2016 Citroen DS5 hybrid. The engine is overheating, and I suspect it's related to the electric fan. Mileage is at 236963 km. I've checked for obvious signs of damage, but I'm thinking it might be a defective cable or plug connection.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar overheating problem with my DS5. Is the fan not spinning at all, or is it intermittent? Could be the fan motor itself, but connections are a good place to start. Have you checked the fuses related to the cooling system?

The fan doesn't seem to be spinning at all. Where exactly did you find the faulty connection on your DS5? Or was it something else?

Mine was a bit different, the fan was running erratically, not completely dead. Turned out to be a faulty relay in the cooling system. Given yours isn't spinning at all, a bad connection is very likely. But honestly, after poking around myself, I just took mine to a workshop. Saved me a lot of headache!

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop and you were right, it was a defective cable/plug connection of the fan component. Cost me 95€ to fix.
