DS5 Key Battery Warning

Hi, I have a 2017 Citroen DS5, diesel engine, with 201408 km on the clock. I'm getting a 'key battery low' warning. Now the keyless access doesn't work, there's an error stored, and unlocking/locking is dodgy. Seems like the key fob battery is empty. Anyone else had this?

Yep, had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. Same symptoms – keyless entry packed up, and kept getting errors. Did you try replacing the battery?

Not yet, wanted to check if it's a common thing before messing about. Was that the fix for your Megane?

Replacing the battery sorted it temporarily, but the errors kept coming back. Might be worth getting it checked at a workshop if a new battery doesn't fix it completely.

Thanks for the advice! Changed the battery; that seems to have sorted it. Cost me 37€ for a new battery and programming.
