Ducato Oil Level Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a Fiat Ducato experiencing an error message and warning light related to the engine oil level sensor. The initial suspicion is a cable or plug issue. A similar past experience suggests checking the sensor and wiring for loose connections. Ultimately, the problem is resolved by replacing the sensor at a workshop.

When you had similar symptoms, was the error consistent, or did it occur intermittently? Did your diagnostics isolate the issue to the sensor, or was it the wiring harness or connector? Details on your process would be appreciated.

Okay, so yeah, it was pretty intermittent at first – that's what made it so frustrating! Some days it would be fine, others it would throw a fit right after starting. I didn't mess around with it too much myself, to be honest. After a quick look, I figured it was over my head. I ended up just taking it to the workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly, but I couldn't tell you exactly what they did. Probably best to let the pros handle it.

I took the vehicle to a workshop. The mechanics were able to resolve the problem with a new sensor. The invoice reads 95€.

Whoa, sounds familiar! I've got a Ducato too, and I had something similar happen last year. That oil level sensor thing is a real pain. My dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, and the error codes were driving me nuts. Have you checked the sensor itself? Because those things can be super sensitive. Also, give the wiring a good look over, sometimes it's just a loose connection causing all the trouble. Just spitballing here, but it might save you a headache!
