Ducato preheating lamp issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Fiat Ducato with a diesel engine is experiencing a persistent preheating lamp issue and an error message after starting. The problem is suspected to be related to faulty glow plugs, which are crucial for diesel engine performance. Replacing all glow plugs is recommended to prevent further issues, and a workshop visit is advised for diagnostics and repairs.

Yeah, I think the fuel efficiency might be a bit worse than usual. What was the fix when you had that issue? Did you replace all the glow plugs, or just the one that was faulty?

Replacing them all is usually recommended since if one's gone, the others might follow soon. However, I chickened out and took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the glow plugs and also ran some diagnostics to make sure nothing else was contributing. Cost me around 440€ for parts and labour.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm heading down the same road. I appreciate you sharing your experience. Will get it checked out at a workshop and get those glow plugs sorted!

I had something similar with my Ducato (don't remember the exact year). Constant preheating light and error codes point to a dodgy glow plug, for sure. Have you noticed any other symptoms, like rough idling or poor fuel efficiency? These diesel engines can be quite sensitive to even one faulty glow plug.
