Ducato Transport Mode Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Fiat Ducato with an electric engine displayed a 'Transport mode active' message, causing electrical malfunctions and preventing the engine from starting. This issue likely arose because the transport mode, used to preserve battery life during shipping, was not deactivated at the dealership. The recommended solution was to contact the dealership, which resolved the issue by correcting the missed setting during the vehicle's setup, at no cost.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, the vehicle is new. I'll try the key fob thing. Do you have a specific sequence in mind? Also, no, the engine won't start; I forgot to mention that.

Thanks for the info. Given that the engine is not starting and the vehicle is new, it strongly suggests that transport mode wasn't correctly deactivated. As I am not familiar with the exact procedure for the Fiat Ducato, and with the added symptom of the engine not starting due to the 'Transport mode active' message, I must politely recommend you contact the dealership. They should be able to resolve this quickly, and it likely requires specific diagnostic tools to properly configure the car's electronics. This may also be covered under warranty.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case. I'll give them a call. Turns out it was a setting they missed during setup, all sorted now. No charge!

I see you're experiencing an issue with your Fiat Ducato's transport mode. I recall something similar happening a few years back with a different make, though the underlying issue might be comparable. Is the vehicle new? Often, manufacturers enable transport mode to preserve battery life during shipping. If that’s the case, it might not have been properly deactivated at the dealership. Have you checked the key fob? Sometimes, a specific sequence of button presses can deactivate it. Also, can you still start the engine?
